Explore the history of the British Home Children, a mass immigration program that brought nearly 100,000 children from the United Kingdom to Canada between 1869 and 1936. The program placed children in homes and farms as labourers. One such Distribution Home was located in Knowlton, welcoming nearly 5,000 children until its closure in 1915. The exhibit pairs historical fact with the stories of Home Children who lived in the area, as told by their descendants.
