About our Collection -

541.1 Pocketwatch, donated by F. E. Clement Gleason
The Brome County Historical Society began collecting artifacts even before the society had a place to display them. Over 125 years later, the museum's collection comprises more than 18,000 objects related to the history of Brome County and the Eastern Townships more broadly. The collection includes a wide variety of artefact types dating from before European arrival in the Americas up until after the Second World War.
The continued work to catalogue the collection is made possible through grants provided by the Government of Canada's Young Canada Works in Heritage Organizations program.
