About the Event
First opened to the public in 1903, the Brome County Historical Society’s Museum is celebrating the official opening of its 117th summer season with a “Royal Knowlton Tea Party” on May 18th, 2019. Our supporters, friends, members of the public, and the media are cordially invited to join us for this lovely event. What better way to spend International Museums Day?
Visitors will be treated to a tea luncheon, old-fashioned games, local history and more. After enjoying their lunch, visitors will also be able to explore all seven of our historic buildings while discovering our diverse collection telling the multi-faceted history of Brome County. Our collection notably includes an original Fokker D.VII, a German war plane from the First World War and one of seven remaining D.VIIs in the World, and our critically acclaimed, interactive Children’s Museum.
