Research Guides

The Lac-Brome Museum has an extensive archives and records collection for anyone interested in Brome County's rich history to consult. To help discover, locate and access records, the LBM has compiled thematic research guides covering our most requested topics.

How to use the guides:

The research guides offer a non-exhaustive list of LBM records, published materials, and external resources relevant to each topic.

These digital guides list external and internal resources, how to access them, and implement them into the desired research topic. The guides suggest potential avenues of research while presenting relevant concrete examples of using LBM records from which researchers can draw inspiration. We hope that these guides will help researchers, visitors, and members of the community in any project they are working on.
