Do You Share Our Passion for Military History?

Located in the scenic village of Knowlton in the town of Lac-Brome, the Lac-Brome Museum is home to one of the largest collections of military artefacts in Canada outside of Ottawa’s War Museum. Since 1897, the Brome County Historical Society has been the repository for local history and memory, and we work hard to ensure that these local stories are not only preserved but also shared. Plan your visit today and experience history up close.

Fokker D.VII German Biplane

Our biggest pull is what we are known best for: the Fokker DVII Biplane, one of eight WWI German planes of this make, and the only left with its original livery. An aviation rarity, this historic airplane is worth a visit!

Because of our connections with the local Royal Canadian Legion branch # 23, we are glad to highlight the stories of local soldiers and war heroes. Come visit us to learn about General Baker, Colonel Draper, Private Pettes, and many others.

Virtual Visit

Take a sneak peek at the Martin Annex with this 3D scan to prepare yourself for a trip here, or to virtually visit us during the off-season!
