Scott MacLeod and A Brief Canadian History present: Seven Songs of War for Peace
at the Courthouse, 2nd Floor at 3 p.m.
The group will perform Seven Songs of War for Peace, a variety of stories through songs, creating a narrative of the First World War and World War II. The songs include references to underrepresented groups such as women or black and indigenous soldiers, while retaining references to key individuals in Canadian national history such as John McRae.
There will also be a presentation of "In Flanders Fields"; a short black & white pencil-animated film based on the poem by John McRae.
