This rocker, crafted from a barrel that shipped “Boston Crackers” made in Waterloo, belonged to Oliver and Sarah Bracey of South Bolton. When authorities searched the Bracey home looking for smuggled American tobacco they did not find the stash hidden in the rocker upon which sat Grandma Bracey, innocently rocking and knitting.

Ce fauteuil fut fabriqué à partir d’un baril dans lequel on livrait les Boston Crackers à Waterloo. Il  appartenait à Oliver et Sarah Bracey de Bolton-Sud. Lorsque les autorités fouillent la maison des Bracey à la recherche de tabac sorti clandestinement des États-Unis, ils ne peuvent trouver la cachette située dans le fauteuil dans lequel était assise la grand-mère Bracey qui se berce innocemment tout en tricotant.
