William Warren Lynch (1845-1916) is one of the most respected and honored citizens of Brome County during his lifetime. In addition to being involved in the Fenian War and becoming a popular lawyer, he represented Brome County in the Provincial Government for 16 years and Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Bedford until 1915. But most of all, he is one of the co-founders of the Brome County Historical Society in 1897. Married to Florence Pettes, daughter of Jeremiah Pettes and Susan Wheeler, they had two boys: Thomas Irvine, and William Warren Jr who became a well-known doctor in Sherbrooke.

Mais surtout, il est l'un des cofondateurs de la Société historique du comté de Brome en 1897.
